Bio
Irene Bengo holds a degree in Environmental and Territorial Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, PhD in Management Engineering. She is associate professor at the School of Management of Politecnico di Milano, where she teaches Sustainability and Social Innovation. She is director of Joint Degree Bocconi-Politecnico di Milano in Transformative Sustainability where she teaches Impact and Sustainability Measurement. She is director of Executive Course of Politecnico di Milano Graduate School of Management in Sustainability & Impact Leadership and of Certification Program for Impact & Sustainability Strategist. She is the scientific coordinator of TIRESIA, the Research Centre for Impact, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Finance of the School of Management of the Politecnico di Milano. She is CEO of Triadi, a benefit company and an innovative start-up created in 2022 as a spin-off of Politecnico di Milano, that delivers strategic advice and measurement services for social impact and sustainability, providing technological tools and data intensive approaches. She acts as President of Engineering Without Borders of Milan. Her various publications in prestigious international journals and her research focus on innovative approaches, practices and tools for managing: hybrid organizations, impact finance and public-private partnerships. She is an expert in impact measurement and management. She is scientific responsible of many national and international projects in collaboration with universities, public and private institutions.
