In a reality in constantly changing, brands are called upon to keep up with the new needs, new tastes, and new buying habits of people and the contemporary historical and social context.
The fashion industry is the one that feels the changes in the market the most: while it must keep up with consumer habits, it must also take into account the new sensitivities of the current context such as sustainability.
To cope with these two scenarios, POLI.design and the prestigious brand Valextra initiated a Workshop in which students from the Design System of the Milan Polytechnic will have had the opportunity to challenge their creativity.
The Workshop held from 03/02/2023 to 03/03/2023 aimed to design a series of Visual Merchandising tools that embrace sustainability and make Valextra’s products the real stars of exhibition spaces.
Increasing product visibility is just one of the challenges faced by the Workshop students. The proposals had to have the dual task of crossing the boundaries of time and space, be adaptable to the concepts of national and international stores, and had to adapt to present and future collections, engaging the customer deeply, leading them to discover the brand’s products and collections.
“The brand is configured as a workshop of urban craftsmanship, readily responding to the needs emerging from daily experience with objects with a contemporary spirit, capable of ‘seizing the moment.'”
United by the common mission of fusing beauty and design with adaptability to change, they offered participants a highly creative and practical Workshop that allowed participants to put their skills and knowledge into practice.
