Here is an overview of our blended educational program. We hosted a group of experienced Chinese designers in our Bovisa Campus: an opportunity to explore the Italian way of “Interior and Spacial Design” and to update professional skills.
An opportunity to upskill and to discover more about the Politecnico Design System: our Bovisa Campus hosted ten designers coming from the Chinese headquarters of the renowned Italian firm Ariston. The study tour took place from October 24th to 26th as part of a tailored and blended course in “Interior and Spatial Design”, a collaboration between POLI.design and the Huayitong Education School – Beijing.
Since June 15th, Chinese professionals have engaged in a comprehensive didactic path focusing on crucial topics within the disciplinary field. Among other related aspects, the themes covered included contemporary design languages, materials and finishes, lighting techniques, the evolution of the concept of luxury, and innovative approaches to office spaces.
During their three-day visit to Milan, the participants had valuable interactions with lecturers and had the opportunity to visit the ADI Museum, enhancing their understanding of the history of Interior and Product Design. Upon completion of the course, participants were awarded a Certificate of Attendance and an Open Badge by POLI.design: a digital token reporting and validating information on the acquired competence.
Our School and the Huayitong Education School – Beijing designed the didactic program in accordance with the needs and requests coming from our client, Ariston China. We would like to thank our Scientific Director, Prof. Francesco Scullica, and all the involved lecturers. Namely, Paola Bertoletti (Lighting Designer and Adjunct Professor in Lighting Design), Alessandro Colombo (Designer and POLI.design lecturer), Marta Conconi (Architect and Politecnico di Milano lecturer), Elena Elgani (Designer and POLI.design lecturer), Giulia Gerosa (POLI.design Associate Professor), Cinzia Pagni (POLI.design lecturer), Barbara Camocini (PhD, Associate Professor at Politecnico di Milano) and Alessandro Villa (POLI.design lecturer).
