Milan Design Week 2019 kicks off: a week full of events, which will see animate numerous initiatives dedicated to its international network.

The week opened earlier this year for, with the beginning of the 2019 Workshop of Executive Master EMDM (Design Management For Innovative Environments), organized in collaboration with MIP Graduate School of Business and Tongji University in Shanghai: from 1st to 30th April, the class composed of professionals from all over China will have the opportunity to alternate theoretical lessons, project work and guided tours to the venues of Milan most traditionally linked to the world of design.

Eight distinct tailor made courses were also set up, carried out by for as many groups of professionals from BrazilChina and the United Arab Emirates:, in fact, offers courses and study tours to companies, organizations and associations throughout the world that can be chosen in the catalog or designed on demand, based on the needs of the company, its organization and its reference market.

The Lighting Design Course, for example, realized for the Brazilian agency PH North, will see a class of 25 designers involved for a whole day in lectures, exercises and guided tours at showrooms of important brands in the lighting field, under the guide of Prof. Gianni Forcolini.

The Made in Italy approach in the field of interior design, instead, will be the focus of Interior Design: new trends and scenarios, the course specially designed for a group of 16 professionals from Guangdong Kangda Meishuo Home co., Ltd, by Prof. Cinzia Pagni and Gisella Veronese.

Third initiative in the program: MILAN STUDY TOUR - APRIL 2019. Four training days dedicated to Design driven innovation, during which Professors Lucia RampinoMario Bisson and Francesca Mattioli will discuss with a group of Chinese designers from VIA VOGUE CONSULTANT.

The design week will then continue with other events dedicated to the themes of Retail and Furniture. The first will be at the center of the two-days Study Tour Retail Store Design for Fashion Brand, which will see Prof. Elena Marinoni lead a group of Chinese designers from CITIEXPO LIMITED.

Furniture Design, on the other hand, will be the protagonist of Made in Italy Furniture and Interior Design: new trends and scenarios, the course created for ASIAPROMOTION that will see more than thirty Chinese professionals confront each other with teachers Marta Conconi and Laura Galluzzo.

Furniture Design will be discussed again during the course LATEST TRENDS OF MADE IN ITALY FURNITURE DESIGN, held by Prof. Elena Elgani for the Chinese group of FRAYIN INTERNATIONAL SRL.

To close this intense week, a group of students of the American University in Dubai will conclude their Study Tour in Milan with a moment of training on Interior Design Made in Italy by Prof. Francesco Scullica and Marta Conconi, scheduled at the Salone del Mobile in Milan, at Rho-Fiera.

The last training moment, created for the Chinese fashion designer group of Jiaxing HUALI Sweater Technology Development, will be realized by Prof. Giovanni Maria Conti and Martina Motta and will see fashion as protagonist, more precisely Knitwear Design. After a moment of lectures, the program of this course includes guided visits to showrooms of Italian high fashion companies in Milan and Biella.
