Course

The Advanced Training Course in Accessory & Jewelry Design is designed, in accordance with the spirit and tradition of the Politecnico di Milano, to combine hands and mind, experimentation and tradition, technology and craftsmanship, prototype and production.

The Advanced Training Course provides the methodological tools and design skills to become accessories designers, with professional applications ranging from fashion to product.

Today accessories make Fashion. Shoes, jewelry, bags and hats are the icons of style and taste, symbols of distinction and identity but also witnesses of the quality of Made in Italy. This is why the big fashion brands give more and more importance to accessories in its multiple interpretations that require dedicated professionals. Accessories also intersect with high-performance materials.

Didactics

Attendance

From 3 to 5 days a week, Course attendance is obligatory for 75% of the total number of hours.

Venue: in presence with the possibility of activating blended.

Training objectives

The Higher Education Course in Accessory & Jewelry Design is aimed at those who wish to focus on the jewelry project. The jewel from the design point of view: materials, techniques, culture, trend, market, retail, communication, design, modeling, prototyping.

POLI.design has set up this Course as a sign of design and evolution of aesthetic languages.

Didactic Modules

The Higher Education Course provides the methodological tools and the design skills to become an accessory designer, with professional application ranging from fashion to product.

  • Creativity and Innovation
  • Fashion Design Modelling
  • Fashion Design Graphics and Representation
  • Fashion Design: Presentation and Portfolio
  • One workshop of your choice:
    – Hat design
    – Eyewear design
    – Watch design
    – Jewelry design
    – Handbag design
    – Leather design
    – Luggage
    – Shoes design

The Course will be developed in theoretical and design thematic modules for a total of 144 hours.

During the theoretical lessons, students of the Accessory & Jewelry Design Course will be in classroom with the students of the Specializing Master in Fashion Creation: Accessory Design & Management.

Title Released

At the end of the lessons will be issued an Open Badge to the Higher Education Course in Accessory & Jewelry Design by POLI.design.

Employment Opportunities

Participants will acquire design skills and will be able to collaborate with design companies, goldsmiths and trade fairs.

Admission

Requirements

The Higher Education Course in Accessory & Jewelry Design is open to applicants who have a University degree (Laurea, equivalent to a Bachelor of Science) under the old or the new educational system or a Laurea Magistrale (equivalent to a Master of Science) under the new educational system in Architecture, Engineering and Design, and to applicants with equivalent qualifications.

To apply, you must fill in the online application form by clicking on APPLY and attaching:

  • Curriculum Vitae;
  • Motivation Letter;
  • Portfolio (only for candidates having a background in design or architecture);
  • Copy of ID card (EU citizens) or passport (Non-EU citizens);
  • Copy of Bachelor Degree;
  • Copy of University Transcript Of Records.

Due to the high number of applications, the date of sending the application will be taken into account for the invitation to the selections.

Participating in the selection process is not binding for enrollment in the Course.

Admission to the Course is subject to an assessment of the curriculum by the Course Direction in order to assess the competences entering with respect to the competences in output.

Deadlines

To take part to the selection process, the application form must be completed online within the following deadlines:

  • for Italian / foreign citizens with a qualification obtained in Italy within December 19th, 2022;
  • for Extra U.E. citizens within November 18th, 2022.

The course costs 3.000 euro + VAT.
