Tuesday, May 5 at Spazio Boffi, in via Solferino 11 (Brera Design District) in Milan was held the award ceremony of the “Prize Le 5 Stagioni- Designing the Future of Pizzerias. New Openings, Innovative Spaces and Concepts”.

Presenting the awards were: Giorgio Agugiaro, President of Agugiaro & Figna Molini, Arturo Dell’Acqua Bellavitis, Dean of the School of Design at the Politecnico di Milano and Davide Paolini, “Il Gastronauta”, Il Sole 24 Ore.

The competition was organised by the line of specialized flours “Le 5 Stagioni” in partnership with POLI.design.

The second “Prize Le 5 Stagioni- Designing the Future of Pizzerias. New Openings, Innovative Spaces and Concepts” has been presented during the Milan Design Weeks with a conference organised by POLI.design.
The appointment was scheduled for Friday 11th April in the new Mix Lounge space of UNA Hotel Cusani in Milan, and it was the occasion to present to designers and journalists the novelties of the Prize Le 5 Stagioni, its international scope, which is even more significant in this edition, and the focus on dynamic markets able to express innovative concepts for the sector.

A dialogue between designers, the industry, Italian tradition and international markets
The Prize Le 5 Stagioni, which this year was at its second edition, starts a dialogue between designers and entrepreneurs of the sector, between design, trends evolution, Italian tradition and excellence and international markets.
Through new information tools and the website in six languages www.premiole5stagioni.it the competition promotes design innovation and the expression of the latest international trends in a sector much defined by tradition in every aspect.

A prize for new formats, existing spaces and innovative concepts
The competition includes two categories: “Opening”, for existing spaces, and “Concept”, for design projects and concepts of pizzerias. The total prize money is € 15.000.
“The Competition – explains Giorgio Agugiaro, President of Agugiaro & Figna Molini SpA, the manufacturer of the line of specialized flours for pizzerias “Le 5 Stagioni” – awards new formats of spaces that, in touch with the evolution of public spaces around the world, may suggest also new types of service and ways of consumption, starting from product quality, the value of raw materials, the ingredients, the traditional making technique, up to the design of the spaces, furniture, the emotional value of the consumption experience.”

The competition is organised in partnership with POLI.design and is patronized by: Le Università per EXPO 2015, Federalimentare Giovani Imprenditori, ADI (Association for the Industrial Design), AIPi (Italian Interior Designers Association) and AIAP (Associazione Italiana Design della Comunicazione Visiva).
