Happy Holidays and Best Wishes for 2025!
It will be the small garden of the Casa delle Associazioni e del Volontariato in Via Marsala 10, Milan, from October 12 to 21, 2022, that will house the exhibition presenting the projects received so far thanks to the Design Against War initiative and that will become the setting for meetings, conversations, workshops and various initiatives.
Design Against War – DAW is an international platform of initiatives and projects initiated by the School of Design of the Politecnico di Milano, together with the entire Polimi Design System, open to contributions from students and teachers of all design or related schools and universities.
Set up in early March 2022 as a reaction to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, it has created a room to welcome design ideas expressed as simple concepts, material support initiatives, testimonies from operators and people, and workshops to imagine concrete solutions together with those working to alleviate the effects of the conflict. Starting from Ukraine war, it has then broadened its horizons to testify against any form of aggression.
All the material produced finds a home on a dedicated Instagram page (designagainstwar) that, to date, collects several dozen projects developed by several hundred students. The initiative is still open and active. For information and modalities of participation: Call for concepts Design Against War.
The exhibition is part of the events of the Festival of Sustainable Development 2022.
At the small garden of the Casa delle Associazioni e del Volontariato, from October 12 to 21, 2022 it will be possible to visit the exhibition from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15. Sunday, October 16 it will be closed. On Friday, October 14, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the project presentation event is scheduled.
