POLI.design Campus will host students from the IE School of Architecture & Design. At the end of June, the first Design Immersion Summer Course will kick off, a program resulting from the collaboration with the prestigious Spanish university.
The Milan Design Immersion Summer Course was born from the partnership between POLI.design and the IE School of Architecture & Design in Madrid. The program combines lectures, seminars, workshops and visits to design and architecture companies. From June 24 to July 5, the campus will host students from the prestigious Spanish university enrolled in the BA in Architectural Studies, Design and Business Administration and Design.
The training experience offers a complete overview of the Milanese design scene, from its origins to the present day. The program will be conducted by POLI.design esteemed faculty and will involve the participation of some protagonists and iconic figures in the field who will integrate a multidisciplinary and intercultural approach. In addition to exploring the most architecturally interesting districts of the city, students will visit some important venues, including: 10 Corso Como, ADI Design Museum, Brera Design District, Franco Albini Foundation, Vico Magistretti Foundation, Gianfranco Ferré Research Center, MASSIMODECARLO, Milano CityLife, Museo del Novecento, Portanuova, Teatro Franco Parenti, Triennale Milano, Villa Necchi alla Portalupa.
The Summer Course and the value of collaboration
The first edition of the Milan Design Immersion Summer Course opens up to significant future partnerships. Professor Cabirio Cautela (CEO of POLI.design) wanted to express the value of the experience: “At POLI.design, collaborations with international schools as IE School of Architecture and Design have the purpose to push the boundaries of conventional thinking.
