Strategic partnership between POLI.design and Hainan Design Week for the Partner Country Program of the Hainan Design Week 2021

Hainan Design Week (HNDW) is a major international cultural and creative event co-organized by Hainan Province Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports, Hainan Provincial Bureau of International Economic Development, Haikou Municipal People’s Government, and supported by Hainan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology.

The event will take place in November in Hainan, a tropical island at the southern tip of China, the second largest island in China after Taiwan. In
as China’s largest special economic zone, largest free trade pilot zone and the only free trade port with Chinese characteristics, Hainan is committed to building, in a comprehensive reform of deepening and opening up the zone, a pilot zone of national ecological civilization, an international tourism center and a guarantee zone of important strategic services.

In this sense, Hainan Design Week (HNDW) is an important move for the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port by accelerating the construction of the international tourism consumption center on International Design Island.

HNDW 2021 was officially launched during the first edition of China International Consumer Products Expo, which attracted more international feedback. In particular, the “Partner Country Italy” project has received great attention from the Italian government, the world of education and associations of various sectors, including the Consulate General of Guangzhou, ICE Agency, National Tourism Agency (ENIT), Marche Region, Milan Polytechnic and Juventus Club have expressed their strong intention to participate.

In order to actively respond to the negative effects of the epidemic and continue to accelerate the preparations for the HNDW, after consulting with the Consulate General of Italy in Guangzhou, the National Tourism Agency, the Marche Region and other institutions, for today, September 16, 2021, the event preparation committee organized the Cloud Conference&Signing Event of the Project Partner Country Italy -Hainan Design Week 2021, during which the ceremony for the signing of the agreement between POLI.design and Hainan Design Week took place.

Many participants attended the conference. Among them, Matteo Ingaramo, member of the Hainan Design Week committee and CEO of POLI.design.
