Bio

Architetto e professore associato in Interior e Spatial Design alla Scuola del Design del Politecnico di Milano, ha insegnato alla Tsinghua University, Academy of Art and Design, Pechino (Cina); Kookmin University, School of Architecture, interior Design e al Master Brain 21 Seoul (Corea del Sud) e in università in USA, Francia, Thailandia, Brasile, Giordania, Emirati Arabi, India, ecc. È stata Canon Foundation Fellow 2000 presso la Hosei University, Tokyo (Giappone). É stata Menzione Speciale del Premio Borromini 2001, selezionata da Archmarathon 2018, selezionata ADI-Index 2019, Menzione Speciale Fedrigoni Top Award – Large Format Communication, 2023.

Le relazioni tra i sensi, il tempo, gli spazi e il design sono i temi principali che sviluppa nella ricerca e nella progettazione e diffonde nella formazione, nelle conferenze, nelle pubblicazioni.

Ha disegnato progetti sensoriali internazionali per: Trinity, Pioneer, Panasonic, Ibiden, Honda, Fujitsu, Suruga, Lexus, Toyota, Ford, Exmovere, Jadeluck, International Robotics, Fissan, Lancome, Symrise, Guerlain, Cleaf, Venini, AAD di Abu Dhabi, Acell, Natura, Vantone, Vats, ecc. in Francia, Cina, Giappone, USA, Europa, Brasile, UK, UAE, come fondatrice e CEO di Senselab.

Autrice di “Storie di Architettura attraverso i sensi” (Bruno Mondadori, 2000; Postmedia Books, 2018); “Architetture invisibili. L’esperienza dei luoghi attraverso gli odori” (Skira, 2006); “Sensi, tempo e architettura. Spazi possibili per umani e non” (Postmedia Books, 2012); “Sensefulness, nuovi paradigmi per lo Spatial Design” (Postmedia Books, 2019); Extended Store. How digitalization affects the retail space design”, con Yuemei Ma, (Franco Angeli, 2021) e molte altre pubblicazioni.

Nel 2021 ha lanciato con POLI.design il primo Corso Executive di Olfactive Design.

 

 

Architect and Associate Professor in Interior and Spatial Design at School of Design of Politecnico di Milano. She taught at Tsinghua University, Academy of Art and Design, Beijing (China); Kookmin University, School of Architecture, interior Design and at Master Brain 21 (South Korea); and in universities in USA, France, Thailand, Brazil, Jordan, UAE, India, etc.
She was Foundation Fellow Fellow 2000 at Hosei University in Japan.

Special Mention of Borromini Prize 2001, selected by Archmarathon 2018, selected ADI-Index 2019, Special Mention Fedrigoni Top Award – Large Format Communication, 2023.

The relationships between senses, time, spaces and design are her the main topics developed in education, conferences, publications, curatorship and professional works.
She designed international sensorial projects for: Trinity, Pioneer, Panasonic, Ibiden, Honda, Fujitsu, Suruga, Lexus, Toyota, Ford, Exmovere, Jadeluck, International Robotics, Fissan, Lancome, Symrise, Guerlain, Condè Nast, Cleaf, Venini, AAD in Abu Dhabi, Acell, Natura, Vantone, Vats, etc. in China, Japan, USA, Europe, UK, UAE, as founder of Senselab.
Author of Storie di Architettura attraverso i sensi (Bruno Mondadori, 2000), Invisible Architectures. Experiencing places through the senses of smell (Skira, 2006) and Sensi, tempo e architettura (Postmedia Books, 2012), Sensefulness, new paradigms for Spatial Design (Postmedia Books, 2019) and many other publications.
In 2021 she launched with POLI.design the first Executive Course of Olfactive Design.
