Erik Ciravegna
Bio
PhD in Design and MSc in Industrial Design (Politecnico di Milano). He currently carries out research and teaching activities at the University of Bologna, as a member of the Advanced Design Unit (ADU) of the Department of Architecture. Previously, he worked at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Universidad de Chile and Politecnico di Milano.
His main area of research, teaching and consulting is communication design, with a focus on packaging design, brand and product identity systems. He has a strong interest in purpose-driven innovation and a concern for the ethical responsibilities of design, particularly in relation to current social and environmental crises.
He also works on developing methods and tools for creativity and people’s well-being at the intersection of arts and design. In this area, he created the Design Drama© methodology. He is currently undergoing professional training in art therapy, with a specialization in drama therapy (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore).
