Over the course of his 10-years in consulting Matt has led or substantively contributed to over 150 projects that span environmental, social justice, and health sectors. His speciality is working on initiatives to include evaluation, systems thinking, design and complexity. Drawing on these broader knowledge bases in collaboration with clients, his focus is on figuring out ‘what works’ for them and those the serve. Matt is also a recognised trainer and facilitator, having designed and led capability building programs across Australia on systems, design and evaluation. Matt’s achievements include leading an 8-year evaluation of an innovation program for Movember, complex systems mapping of the barriers and enablers to the repair of electronics as part of the circular economy in the UK, and developing impact frameworks for novel areas including family violence prevention, and AI.
Matt is also the Co-Convenor of the Australasian Evaluation Society (AES) Special Interest Group on Design and Evaluation, and is Program Co-Lead for the 2024 Australian Evaluation Society Conference.
