EARLY BIRD 10% for enrollment in Specializing Masters and Executive Courses starting in the next months
Once again this year, the traditional Graduation Day of the Specializing Master in Transportation & Automobile Design (TAD) at Politecnico di Milano, managed by POLI.design, made its return in hybrid mode.
On June 28, starting at 10 a.m. the event was held in presence for students, faculty, family members and friends with the possibility of live streaming for those unable to be on-site. In the Aula Castiglioni at the Bovisa Campus, to open the day dedicated to the 18 students of the XIII edition the Scientific Director of the Master, Prof. Fausto Brevi. There followed the speech by Prof. Luisa Collina, who told about the contribution made by the Master on the occasion of the exhibition “Motion. Autos, Art, Architecture”, scheduled from April 8 until September 18, organized by the Norman Foster Foundation and the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, in which sixteen schools of design and architecture from four different continents were invited to present their vision on the future of mobility. Among them, as the only Italian reality, the School of Design of the Politecnico di Milano, which narrated the mobility of the future with an interactive installation at the conclusion of the exhibition’s itinerary. This installation consists of 12 projects, of which 6 very different concepts designed by students of the Specializing Master TAD and conceived with the aim of responding to the needs of the new mobility of the years to come, prefiguring transportation solutions designed for the specific needs of certain categories of passengers, including those with physical problems.
At 11:30 a.m. followed the presentation of the projects of the 13th edition of the Specializing Master. Protagonists were 18 students and 4 projects that aim to demonstrate how in the automotive world the needs of users will be increasingly specific and mobility more and more articulated. In fact, in the not too distant future, issues related to pollution and road congestion will force designers to produce a wide range of vehicles capable of moving in different ways: the vehicle that can be used to move on the road cannot be the same to move in the city center, because we will need different sizes, different performance and different functionalities.
The day continued with the proclamation at 12:30 p.m. and ended at 1 p.m. in Classroom B8, also at the Bovisa Campus, with the opening of the exhibition of works created by the students, which remained open until July 28, 2022.
