Bio

Gabriele Tempesta is a sustainable design consultant, public speaker and alumnus of Politecnico di Milano, where he currently works as a research fellow at LeNSlab Polimi, a research group focusing on diffusing Design and System Innovation for Sustainability through higher education and applied research projects. Before returning to his alma mater, Gabriele worked for 10 years in China as a generalist design consultant, tackling each project with a sustainable design and human-centred design approach. His projects span a variety of industries and include city furniture and public space design, design for social innovation, future scenarios design, design thinking corporate training, circular economy workshops and more. Gabriele was also one of the earliest voices in China to talk about sustainable design outside of academia and
accumulated a rich public speaking and teaching experience. Since 2015 he has delivered over 40 lectures at conferences, companies and universities such as Tongji D&I College, Jiangnan University etc., on topics ranging from Life Cycle Design and PSS design, to design for social innovation and behaviour change.
