Sara Lavazza is a visual and type designer based in Milan, with a strong passion for editorial design and typography. She holds a Master’s degree in Communication Design from Politecnico di Milano, where her thesis explored the communication of the climate crisis.
Since 2021, she has been a teaching assistant for the course Sistemi e Artefatti Complessi at Politecnico di Milano, focusing on typography for the design of independent magazines addressing social issues. In 2023, she joined the teaching staff of CPF Bauer, a school in Milan, as a co-lecturer for the Graphic Design Base synthesis course.
She is also an active member of the open-source type foundry Collletttivo, where she engages in typographic experimentation and collaborative practices.
Alongside her teaching and typographic work, she works as a freelance designer, bringing a critical perspective to her practice by exploring social and environmental issues.
