Bio
Architetto e Dottore di Ricerca in Interior e Exhibition Design, è Professore Associato presso la Scuola del Design del Politecnico di Milano e membro dei gruppi di ricerca Lab.I.R.Int – Laboratory of Innovation and Research on Interiors – e RESIDE – REgenerative Spatial Innovation Design, afferenti al Dipartimento di Design della medesima Università.
La sua ricerca si concentra sulla trasformazione degli ambienti contemporanei attraverso i processi di Adaptive Reuse, con particolare attenzione alle ricadute della modificazione d’uso degli interni sulle strategie di riattivazione urbana e rigenerazione territoriale, riconciliando la distanza tra le funzioni originarie degli spazi, i bisogni emergenti e gli scenari futuri. I suoi interessi includono la fenomenologia socio-culturale dei luoghi contemporanei e dei loro abitanti, analizzandone comportamenti e vulnerabilità, con un focus specifico sull’evoluzione del dibattito relativo alla progettazione degli spazi lavorativi e didattici.
Svolge attività didattica nei corsi di Laurea Triennale e Laurea Magistrale in Interior and Spatial Design, approfondendo le qualità degli spazi alle diverse scale. Ha una consolidata esperienza nell’insegnamento in Master di Specializzazione, tra i quali Interior Design; Designing Culture: Art, Design, and Cultural Enterprises; Design for Public Spaces; Design Management for Innovative Spaces, introducendo gli studenti internazionali alla Storia e alla Cultura del Design Italiano.
Ha pubblicato contributi scientifici e partecipato a progetti di ricerca, conferenze e workshop nazionali e internazionali sui temi dell’Adaptive Reuse e delle qualità spaziali degli interni.

Architect and Ph.D. in Interior and Exhibition Design, she is an Associate Professor at the Design School of Politecnico di Milano and a member of the research groups Lab.I.R.Int – Laboratory of Innovation and Research on Interiors – and RESIDE – REgenerative Spatial Innovation Design, both affiliated with the Design Department of the same university.
Her research focuses on the transformation of contemporary human environments through Adaptive Reuse processes, with particular attention to the resulting strategies for urban reactivation and territorial renewal and reconciling the original functions of spaces, emerging needs, and future scenarios. Her interests include the socio-cultural phenomenology of contemporary places and their inhabitants, analyzing their behaviors and vulnerabilities, with a specific focus on the evolving discourse surrounding office design and educational spaces.
She teaches in the Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree programs in Interior and Spatial Design, focusing on spatial qualities at different scales. She has extensive experience teaching in Specialized International Master’s programs, including Interior Design; Designing Culture: Art, Design, and Cultural Enterprises; Design for Public Spaces; Design Management for Innovative Spaces, introducing international students to the history and culture of Italian design.
She has published scientific contributions and participated in research projects, conferences, and national and international workshops on the topics of Adaptive Reuse and the spatial qualities of interiors.
